Attorney Tom Renz Sanctioned by Judge Despite No Evidence: A Fight for Justice

Despite absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing of any sanctionable conduct on the record, the record did show:

7 licensed attorneys from around the nation testified Renz’s case was proper.
When Renz completed his 6 hours of testimony the attorneys for the other side withdrew their evidence and declined to cross-examine him in any way.
The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals granted oral arguments where they had previously concurred in part with Renz’s assertions. The concurrence and rules of the Sixth Circuit are very strong evidence that the case was not frivolous.

The rules for the Sixth Circuit specifically state that they will not grant oral arguments if the Justices believe the case to be frivilous.
The Judge claimed Renz vexatiously multiplied the proceedings; the only actions Renz took on behalf of these clients and this case was to file the complaint, respond to a motion to dismiss, and appeal. This could not be vexatious multiplication of proceedings.
Renz believes Judge Carr has egregiously abused his discretion and likely done so, in part, because of an ethics complaint filed by his co-counsel on an unrelated case that was recognized, in part, by the Sixth Circuit.
